Well that certainly didn't apply to the expressionist painters. The expressionists were a radical bunch who chose to paint their emotional state rather than physical reality. The canvas was about them, their feelings and their inner dialogue. This art movement began in the early 1900's as a reaction to the impressionists painters and to ran into the edgy, glamorous 1920's.

So this set encourages you to express yourself, if you're feeling fluid - join the curves. Feeling anxious? Make angles. All the feelings? Mix them up!
